I know you can tell how much I love dogs. But, one thing you did not know about me is I love monkeys and apes. I did many graduate and undergrad projects and research in Animal Behavior. I wanted to be the next "Jane Goodall". It was my dream. One of my favorite things I have ever done was to go to the Primate Center in Washington and get to visit Washoe, the chimpanze who was trained to talk in sign language. I met all of her "friends" and her adopted son Loulis signed to me and told me he wanted to see my shoes. He loves shoes and I have to say he has good taste:) They were rescued and are living out their lives in leisure and retirement instead of going into research.
My card is a wonderful sock monkey image by
MelJen's Designs. She is a fantastic artist and has a new release of her digital stamps weekly. I have so much fun with her images. Every Monday she has a freebie. If you have not checked them out, do so, you won't be disappointed. I colored my image with Copics. I used Crate DP and PTI cardstock. I sewed my ribbon into a box pleat, wouldn't my mom be proud:) I also added lots of machine stitching for color and texture. I made this card for my daughter! I used the
2sketches4U sketch for inspiration.
