Pixie Dust Studio New Release "The Pearl"
It's time for the new relase from Pixie Dust Studios!. The release is called "The Pearl". All of the images are inspired by a pearl.
I chose the Mermaid and Pearl new release images to create a card. I colored my images with Copic Markers. I added Clear Snap Smooch on my clam shell to resemble the pearlescent inside of a real shell. I also added Liquid Pearls for embellishment of the pearl the mermaid is holding and on the shell. The Thursday Challenge this week for PDS is to use pearls and I added lots, from the background of the card to the clam shell. I used K&Co. Annna Griffin design paper and PTI cardstock. I added machine stitching for definition. I also added die cut waves that were made with my Cricut and the "Life's a Beach" cartridge.
I participated in the Sweet Sunday Sketch and used their sketch for inspiration for my card.
Make sure to take a look at the Pixie Dust Studio Blog and take a look at all the wonderful images in the store. With a little magic and pixie dust anything is possible!

Mel Jen's Sea Turtle/CPS/Tuesday am Sketchers
I admit it. I am a perfectionist and I am never quite satisfied with my cards. I always look for what could be better or different. It is rare that I am 100% satisfied with one of my creations. I am this time. As soon as I saw the adorable sea turtle image from MelJen's I fell in love with it. Sea Turtles are one of my very favorite animals. I hope each time I have the opportunity to snokel that I will see one. It is a dream. I used the Card Patterns Sketch for inspiration and used my favorite colors and glitter for the Tuesday Morning Sketchers Challenge.
I colored my images with Copic Markers and added lots of Stickles for the glitter. I made a ruffle with my blue ribbon to suggest a wave. I used the sea horse images to represent the scallop on the side of my card to fulfill the sketch requirements. I used dp from Anna Griffen for K&Co. and cardstock from Couture Cardstock.
Make sure to stop by MelJen's store. Her images are always inspiring and adorable.

I used SEI design paper and PTI cardstock. I added machine stitching for definition. I also added ribbon, a carboard "belt buckle" and a Faith Bingo Card. I participated in the Saturday Sweet Stop Challenge. I used their sketch for inspiration and used the added twist "for the guys".
