Elisabeth Bell's Digital Images.....Lil Princes Tutu

When my daughter was little she had a facination with horses, ponies, unicorns, and pegasus'. She was always playing with a horse toy of some kind. "Lil' Princess Tutu" is one of those girls:), like my daughter. I created this card using a different color combination of purple and green. I added buttons, punches, dimentionals, and of course glitter glue. I used cardstock from PTI and DP from Cosmo Cricket.

I used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge for inspiration. I also participated in the Digital Tuesday Challenge of using punches and I also participated in the Creative Belli Blog of using material or felt Stamptacular Sunday by making your card SOS, for someone special.

Elisabeth Bell Challenge Blog

The Elisabeth Bell Challenge this month is to make a project using a recipe card. The ironic part of this challenge is that I don't like to cook and exceptr for my Betty Crocker Cookbook there is not a recipe in the house:). So I chose my daughter's favorite hot chocolate we make, from the Ghiradelli cocoa can in our pantry. I added the "Warm Wishes" stamped image. I chose this image from Whiff of Joy. I colored her with Copic markers and popped her up with dimentionals. I added flowers, flourishes, silver studs, a clip, and die cuts. I used DP from Crate and cardstock from PTI. This is the first pop up card I have made and it was fun, easy and allowed for some dimention in the project. I particiapated in the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge of making this card S.O.S, for someone special. I made it for my daughter!

You really can't go wrong when making a card or a layout with one of Elisabeth Bell's images:) Go to the challenge blog and particpate. You may win a wonderful prize!

Mel Jen's New Release

This week's challenge at MelJens is to make a Birthday Card. I used two of MelJens new images, called "Birthday Cake Mouse" and "Stitched Celebration". I colored them with Copic Markers. I used DP from Cosmo Cricket and cardstock from PTI. I added dimentionals, Stickles, buttons and ric rac.

Here is a confession.....I love Stickles. They make me happy. The colors and the sparkliness. My daughter and I once improved her geography project by outlining the countries in Stickles. Loving them may indeed be genetic.

I have to say this was a difficult card to make. It was super fun to color and I got inspiration from the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge, Stamptacular Sunday and the Digital Tuesday Challenge. What made it difficult was my paper cutter. My paper cutter was a replacement from another one of the same brand that I fell in love with. When this one arrived it squeeked. It sounded like cats fighting and would often cut my paper unevenly or shred the edges. My husband borrowed it this weekend. When I went in to check on him, he was in the garage "fixing" it. My hubby is super handy and can fix almost everthing so, when he proclaimed that my paper cutter was "better than new" I could not wait to try it. The handle would not stay up and the blade was so loose that I could not cut cardstock. I now am the proud new owner of two new paper cutters. Both are functional. My hubby is the best, he really did fix the old one:) LOL:)

My Prince...by Elisabeth Bell

I couldn't resist coloring the new release image for February, titled "My Prince". I created an over the top Valentine's card. I made a gate fold card and added rhinestones, silver studs, and pearl hearts. You know how when you stare at the lights of an oncoming car while driving at night, the glare will blind you. My card when seen in direct light will have a similar effect LOL:). I added lots of die cuts, dimentionals and ribbon.

I used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge for inspiration. I also participated in the Digital Tuesday Challenge of making something Valentine's related and I also participated in the Creative Belli Blog of using jewels and Stamptacular Sunday by using hearts.

Make sure to check out the Elisabeth Bell Digital Store. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next month!

Elisabeth Bell Challenge Blog

The Elisabeth Bell Challenge this month is to make a project using somthing that is altered. I couldn't decide what I would create with this challenge until I went into my guest room closet. On our lugguage was a luggage tag that was given to my husband by his company. It is hard plastic with a small plastic strap. On the opposite side it has a plastic sleeve that holds a business card. I thought It would look great on a tote bag or purse. Truth be told my hubby may be a little attached to it and I have yet to tell him about my super creative use of his luggage tag. Do you remember the show "I love Lucy". Remember that voice that Ricky Ricardo called Lucy's name when she did something that displeased him. Any day now, my husband will call accross the house "Liiiisssssaaaa, what have you done to my luggage tag". Too late sweetie it is super new and improved!

I used Willow Dressing Up. I chose this image from Whiff of Joy. I colored her with Copic markers and popped her up with dimentionals. I added ribbon, glitter brads, fourishes and rhinestones. I used DP from K&Co. I participated in the Creative Belli Challenge of using embellishments beginning with the letter "P". I used pearls on this project!

You really can't go wrong when making a card or a layout with one of Elisabeth Bell's images:)

I used the The Sweet Stop Challenge sketch as inspiration for my card. Make sure to check out all of the other DT members for inspiration. I cannot wait to see what you make for the challenge! You would be amazed what a little magic and pixie dust will do!
