My Mom commissioned me to make a card for her boss, who is also her priest:), for his 40th birthday. The card had to hold at least 40 sheets of paper so that all the parishoners could sign it at his birthday party. I used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday as inspiration for my layout. I used the "Party Animal" image from the new birthday release from Shirleys2Girls. It is colored with Copic markers. Lots of bling was added including Stickles, rhinestones, glittered pearls, and silver studs. I made a shaker element with the Shirleys2Girls "presant icon" and placed it on the front of my card. I added my layout to a Zutter cardboard cover, adding 40 8x8 Zutter pages to the inside. Covering the covers are two pieces of acrylic cover. Intermixed are dividers that I made using American Crafts cardstock and my Martha Stewart border punch. I added lots of machine stitching detail. For the front I created a 40 clip. This clip is to be used so that my mom can keep people signing the right page and limit any wear and tear on the cover of the card. Inside the two covers are pockets so that birthday cards or handmade pictures can be placed. I bound the whole book with my Bind it All and to to top it off I added lots of ribbon and a tag, cut with my Spellbinders, reading "happy birthday"
